Albert Lee McClendon

Graveside Home-Going Services for Albert Lee McClendon will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00 A. M. in the William Chapel Mission Cemetery, 1975 Soperton Avenue, East Dublin, Georgia. The Rev. Norman Williams will officiate and the interment will follow. Mr. Albert Lee McClendon was born on May 13, 1944, to the late Deacon “EJ” and Geneva Owens McClendon. He shattered hearts during the late-night hours of December 29, 2021, at home with loved ones. Mr. McClendon graduated from B. D. Perry High School. Shortly after, he joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. After service, he was employed by Dublin Construction and Graham Brothers Construction until his retirement. Mr. McClendon joined the Williams Chapel Church at early age. Mr. McClendon was preceded in death by his loving parents and siblings, Ernest James McClendon, Jr., Paul Wade McClendon, Isaiah McClendon, Eugene McClendon, Hartley McClendon, Frank McClendon, Eva Lou McClendon Little and Gloria McClendon. A God Brother, John McClendon. Albert leaves to cherish his marvelous memories to his loving significant other of 40 years Mrs. Geraldine Matthews. Brothers; Freddie (Julie) McClendon and David (Cortez)McClendon. Sister; Glenda Gilmore Sister-in-Law Bessi McClendon, Gloria McClendon. Albert had a very special role in being a dedicated father to Constantine (Connie) Williams, Tomisty (Micheal) Allen and Lakendria Cason. Albert was a devoted grandfather to 6 beautiful grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
