Remembering Ada

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Ada Mae Wright will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. in the William Grove Baptist Church, Dublin, Georgia. The Rev. Johnathan Lewis, Pastor will officiate and the interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. We love because He first loved us……… Mrs. Ada Mae Wright was born on December 9, 1941, in Dublin, Laurens County, Georgia, to the parentage of Mr. Willie Allen Sr. and Mrs. Eula (Candy) Allen. She was the second child born to this blessed couple. She was a product of the Dublin City Schools System where she attended the prestigious Oconee High School home of the mighty Trojans. Ada Mae peacefully transitioned from this earthly realm in the late-night hours of Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in her own home surrounded by her adoring beloved family. Ada’s strength, determination, fortitude, steadfastness, loyalty, and endurance will always be remembered and treasured by her family and friends. She was the ultimate caregiver by providing her personal in-home care to both her mother and father in their later years. While a homemaker for many years, she provided care to her grandchildren, nieces and nephews thus enabling their parents to pursue their works knowing that their children would be well taken care of as well as well fed. She always enjoyed cooking and scored outstanding in that area. Ada’s outside employment included fifteen plus years of service to Wal-Mart where her co-workers described working as a fun experience. Upon retirement, she spent her days enjoying her westerns on the television as well as cooking and going on shopping trips. Her favorite stores became to be those of Ross, Home Goods, and Hobby Lobby. She was also the family’s weather woman and the food shopping critic. Ada always knew where to send her family for the best food selections. Her compassion for others was overwhelming. To have Ada in one’s life was truly an added blessing. When in her presence, one could expect to be entertained to the fullest. However, her greatest joy resided in being with her children- all thirteen of them. She loved her family and always sacrificed some of her works to make sure that they have what they needed most in life. Her beloved family members who have completed this earthly dash prior to her in addition to her parents include: her husband Lee Wright, Sr., her brother and sister in love--Wille and Bernita Allen, Jr., Aunt Ethel Spikes, along with her children Patricia and Victoria Wright and Jeffrey Allen. She leaves cherished memories with her children - Frances (Charles) Wright, Priscilla Wright, Randy Wright, Andy (Tosha) Wright, Alice Wright, Robert (Glenda) Wright, Lee Wright, Jr., Clifton Wright, Alton (Stephanie) Wright, Anita Wright; step-daughter - Cynthelia (Anthony) McIntosh; step-sons - Michael Smith, Chris Johnson; nephew-son - Curtis (Brenda) Smith; siblings - Evie Jean (Lester) Wright, Vera Allen, special sister - Rosetta O’neal; sisters-in-law - Jacquelyn Wright, Ethel Wright, Gladine White, Debra Wright, Henrietta Williams; special cousin Marjorie Ashley; grandchildren - Charlene (Willie) Brinson, Quentin Allen, Quantavia Allen, Christopher (Jessica) Wright, Constant (Eric) Kates, Antwone (Lucreshia) Martin, Tiffany O’neal, Asia Floyd, Monifah Wright, LaZerrick Dixon, Zion Dixon, Takayla Wright, Taylor Wright, Darrell Wright, Elijah Hubbard, LaClifton Stanley, Lee Wright III, Braylon Wright, Bryson Wright, Blake Wright, Benjamin (Dr. Tiffany) Smith, Breanna (Keith Chaney) Smith, Latavion Brinson, Zaria Brinson, Ian Wright, Ivy Wright, Makaela Kates, Josiah Kates, Essence Martin, Aiden Martin, Aubree Martin, Skylar Wright, Londyn White; Special niece - Carol Edwards The Lord is my Shepherd: I shall not Want…. 23 Psalms Friends are being received at the family residence, 120 Park Place.
