McConnells – Mr. Neil E. Williamson, 85, of 110 Ferndale Road passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm on Friday December 7, 2012¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, USA. A private burial will be at 2:30 pm in the church cemetery prior to the service. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church’s fellowship hall. Neil was born October 9, 1927, the youngest son of the late William Harvey and Estelle Davison Williamson. He served in the U.S. Army with the Occupation Forces in Japan in 1946. He graduated from Clemson University in 1950. He was a part owner and operator of York Supply for forty-two years until he retired in 1992. He was a lifelong member of Bethesda where he served as Elder. Neil was an avid gardener who loved sharing his bounty with family, neighbors, and friends. His caring, friendly, and unselfish nature will be missed. Surviving are five nieces and five nephews, one sister-in-law, Frances W. Williamson of York, and on “unofficially” adopted son, Frank Allen of York. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Williamson; by five brothers, Roy Williamson, Barron Williamson, Jack Williamson, Jim Williamson, and Bill Williamson; and by one niece, Jeffrey W. Taylor, and one nephew, B.P. Williamson, Jr. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
