Nancy Buice Brown, 83, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Westminster in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church with Rev. Matt Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 PM on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Nancy was born January 9, 1935 in Hickory Grove, SC to John and Elizabeth Buice. They had 6 happy years and were blessed with another little girl, Nancy’s sister Polly. Nancy attended the Hickory Grove Schools until she graduated. She then attended Dell School of Technology in Asheville, where she met and married Cecil Brown. The couple lived in Hickory Grove then settled in York on Shiloh Road.
In addition to her sister, Nancy is survived by her daughter Cecilia Ann Brown Lyles , grandchildren, Caitlin Lyles, Colin Lyles, and Shannon Brown Weaver, great grandchildren, Payton Brown, Derrick Weaver, Brandon Weaver, Wyatt Weaver, and Braylon Wright, and daughter in law Paula Brown. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bruce Irving Brown, and granddaughter Sarah Brown.
