Millie Hagins

“Millie” Bailey Hagins of Sharon, SC was a loving mother, mother-in-law, Nana, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world on February 2, 2021 at age 70, her battle was won, she gained her heavenly wings and her health was restored.
She was the beloved mother of Michelle Boheler (Clay) and Cindy Canupp (Robbie), and the proud Nana of Rhett, Taylor, Ryan, Alli and Riley.
She especially loved her role as Nana, spending time and spoiling her grandchildren was her passion. Until her health condition made it impossible, Millie found joy in serving and catering to others. She was quick on her feet and could work circles around most. She made friends everywhere she went and her friends and customers became her extended family.
Throughout her career she served as supervisor at Ace Sweater Knitting of Union, SC, and then later she found her happiness at the Sharon Grill of Sharon, SC and the Coal Yard of York, SC.
In addition to her parents, Harold M. Bailey and Bessie Mae Baskins Bailey, Millie was preceded in death by her sister, Chris Hinson, brother, Olin Bailey, and brother-in-law, Dennis Settlemyre. She is survived by sisters; Catherine Starnes (Jim), Ernestine Starnes (Ernest), Mae Bailey, Joan Deese, Brenda Settlemyre, brother, Mike Bailey (Beverly), brother-in-law, Allen “Goat” Hinson and sister-in-law, Ethel Bailey.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sharon, SC with the Reverend Mark Dellinger officiating. The family will receive friends in the church cemetery following the graveside service.
