Michael McGuffee
YORK -- Michael Gilbert McGuffee, 67, of 2009 Creekwood Dr. passed away Monday, February 15, 2016, at his home in York.
A celebration in honor of Michael's life will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 1 - 5 PM at the home, 2009 Creekwood Dr, York, SC.
Michael was a son of Phyllis Waldridge McGuffee and the late Jack McGuffee. He was a graduate of Clemson University and member of the Tiger Band while in school, and was an avid Clemson football fan. Michael was also an US Navy submarine sailor, having served on the USS Shark (SSN-591).
He is survived by his wife Theresa Chastulik McGuffee of York, SC, children; Sean McGuffee of Seneca, SC, Cara M. Kuremsky (Marshall) of Raleigh, NC, Phillip McGuffee of York, and Kyle McGuffee of Charlotte, NC, two grandchildren, Rivers and Berkeley Kuremsky, mother Phyllis McGuffee of Abbeville, SC, and brother Mark McGuffee of Taylors, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058, or to the Humane Society of York County, 2036 Carolina Place, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
