YORK - Maureen "Mo" Nicastro passed away peacefully November 23 surrounded by her loving husband, Felix; her only son, Stephen; and her beloved cousin, Ellen.
She was born May 10, 1937 in Long Island, New York, daughter of the late Harold E. Voetsch and Hilda Evans Voetsch. Mo married in May 1955 to Felix Nicastro, whom she lived a life full of love with, for almost 60 years. They had one son, Stephen Christopher Nicastro, who blessed them with two granddaughters Laci and Christy.
Retiring together in York, SC, Mo enjoyed her time caring for any animal that crossed her path, her beloved cats, dogs and horses. She adored her grand daughters as well as her great grandchildren Tason and Addison. Maureen will be remembered for the way she passionately loved her husband and adored her family.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Divine Saviour Catholic Church with Father Adilso Coelho officiating.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Philippians 3:20-21
