Maureen Clark Burton, 78, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at her home in York.
The funeral will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Dellinger officiating. Burial will be held at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Friday at Bratton Funeral Home.
Maureen was a daughter of the late Charles W. Clark and Garnet McCann Clark. She was retired from AT&T and later worked at Walmart. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hickory Grove.
Maureen is survived by her husband Herman M. Burton, son Michael Hunter (Sue) of Mt. Holly, daughter Ardith Fox (Kenny) of York, five grandchildren, Matthew Pope, Bailey Hunter, Courtney Toney, Daniel Pope, and Elizabeth Hunter, and four great grandchildren, Charlie Toney, Phoebe Pope, Matthew Pope Jr., and Chandler Toney, and one on the way, Alyssa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church Sunday School Fund, 2300 Irene Bridge Road, Hickory Grove, SC 29717.
