Mary Taylor Rock Hill - Mrs. Mary Jane Robinson Taylor, 99, a former resident of York, went home to be with her Lord, on Friday, April 20, 2012, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. Mrs. Taylor was born on August 21, 1912 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. She had lived most of her life in York and at the time of her death was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. As a younger woman she taught Sunday school at Central Baptist Church, and worked in retail sales for a number of years. She enjoyed playing the piano, writing poetry, and was passionate about her faith in God. Mrs. Taylor was the widow of Robert E. Robinson and William J. Taylor. She was preceded in death by two sons: James A. Robinson and R. Cody Robinson. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Robinson Cartledge, of Mustang, OK, four grandchildren: Linda Snyder, James A Robinson, Johnny B. Robinson, and Jennifer Moghaddam , all of Cleveland, Tennessee. She also leaves 10 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 2:00pm, at the Lakeview Memory Gardens in York with the Rev.
