Mary Pipes YORK Mary Dula Pipes, 83, of York, SC passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the home of her granddaughter, Anna Polites Godshall. Mary was in the care of MediHome Hospice of Rock Hill. Born in Wilkes County, NC, Mary lived most of her life in Lenior, NC and Hickory, NC until she moved to York after retirement. She retired from Siecor, in Hickory, at the age of 71. She was the daughter of the late Mattie Faye Marley of Wilkes County, NC and of the late Howard Boyd Dula of Lenoir, NC. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Hildebran, NC. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Brim of Marietta, GA. Surviving are her brothers, Boyd Henderson Dula of Lenoir, NC and Timothy Harlan Dula of Drexel, NC, her children, Ann Johnson of York, SC and James “Henry” Pipes of Lenoir, NC, granddaughters, Anna Polites Godshall of York, SC and Heather Pipes Woods of Lenoir, NC, great-grandsons, Ryan and Mikeal Woods of Lenoir, NC, niece, Debbie Dula of College Park, FL and nephew Timothy Dula, II of Drexel, NC and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside memorial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York with the Rev. Paul Nguyen officiating.
