Mary Smarr McKown, 80, of Hickory Grove, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017, at her home.
The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Reynolds and Rev. Eugene Oldham officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Bratton Funeral Home.
Mary was a daughter of the late Wilburn Smarr and Christine Bratton Smarr. She was the widow of Mason McKown and was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jeff McKown of Hickory Grove, SC, daughters, Nancy Starcher of Midland, NC, Barbara Rayborn of Jayess, MS, brothers, Harold Smarr, Glenn Smarr, Neil Smarr, grandchildren, Beth Knight, Okfana Starcher, great grandchildren, Alivia Leary, Alaina Knight and Tessa Knight. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother Earl Smarr, and her grandson Steven Ferrell.
