YORK -- Marshall Dennis Lynn, Sr., 85, of 486 Riding Trail Road died Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at First Baptist Church in York with Rev. Trey Doyle officiating. Burial will be at Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery, Travelers Rest, SC at 4:00 PM on Wednesday. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the First Baptist Church William G. Benton Fellowship Hall.
Dennis was a son of the late John Fred Lynn, Sr. and Cora Burns Lynn. Dennis was a member of First Baptist Church in York, was a retired manager of FCX Farm Store and Gold Kist. He attended Clemson University, was a member of the York Lions Club, and was a member of Philanthropic Masonic Lodge # 32.
He is survived by wife Rheba Sprouse Lynn of York, SC, son Marshall Dennis "Denny" Lynn, Jr.(Cathy) of Fort Mill, SC, daughter Lisa Lynn Roberts (Tony) of York, SC, son Tommy Lynn (Missy) of San Antonio, TX, sisters, Evelyn Lynn Earle of Greenville, SC, Erlene Lynn Garrett of Greenville, SC, brother John Fred Lynn, Jr. of Taylors, SC, six grandchildren, Maghan Roberts Cockrell (Brandon), Haley Rhyne Brown (Kevin), Marshall Dennis Lynn, III, Matthew Thomas Lynn, Sydney Raye Lynn, Charly Gene Lynn, and one great grandchild, Kinley Grace Cockrell.
