CLOVER -- Mark Samuel Starnes, 74, of 300 River Birch Lane passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Bratton Funeral Home in York. Burial will be at 4 pm at Prospect UMC Cemetery in Monroe, N.C.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 1-2 P.M. at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Mark was a son of the late Edison Starnes and Mary Ellen Prouty Starnes. He was of the Catholic faith. He worked and retired as an analyst at the Federal Aviation Administration. He also retired after serving in the United States Navy for 20 years.
He is survived by wife Marian Starnes of Clover, SC, son Mark Starnes of Jacksonville, NC, son Michael Starnes of York, sister Darlene Krawiec of Lancaster, SC, sister Mary Etta Morrison of Clover, SC. and 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
