Mark Lee Bradley, Sr., 64, left his earthly ties to go to Heaven Monday, May 23, 2016 after suffering complications of colon cancer. A long-time resident of York, SC he and his wife, Cathy, lived on their home place and together enjoyed nature and music. A gifted saxophonist and singer/songwriter together with his wife entertained at various festivals and venues as “Green Star” in the area and in their adventures to the Florida Everglades in recent years. He produced with his wife three CD albums of their own original music at their beloved “Music Barn” where they often enjoyed gatherings with friends. A simple humble Christian man who loved God and had complete faith in Jesus Christ. A former member of West End Baptist Church where he served with the Prison Ministry. He had a zest for life and enjoyed fishing and shrimping, making people laugh with his warmth, humor and music. He possessed a kind open heart to everyone he met and dearly loved his family and friends. Preceded in death his father William H. Bradley – Gastonia he leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Cathy, and his son, Mark Lee - Charlotte; his mother, Clydean Bradley- Gastonia; his brother, Bill, of Oregon; his sister, Cindy, of York, his nephew, Chris Michaels of McConnells and his niece, Maranda Michaels of Gastonia.
No public viewing. A celebration of life service will be held in his honor in the chapel of Bratton Funeral Home in York on Thursday, May 26th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mike Lowery officiating.
