Obituary Notice
YORK – Margaret Robinson Smith, 92 of York, SC passed away March 2, 2021.
Margaret was a native of York, SC and the daughter of the late Baxter Barnett Robinson and Sudie Stewart Robinson. She was the wife of the late Marshall Thomas Smith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward T. Smith and brother, Baxter Robinson.
She is survived by two sons, David M. Smith of York, Wayne B. Smith (Debbie) of Rock Hill, SC; her daughter-in-law Nellie Smith of York, SC; her granddaughter Margo Smith Thrush (Craig) of McKinney, TX; great grandsons, Corbin Thrush, Braeden Thrush; great granddaughter, Caitlyn Thrush of McKinney, TX.
Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church, York, SC. She loved her family and enjoyed collecting books.
Due to Covid 19 a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 102 S. Congress St. York, SC 29745.
The family extends a special thanks to her caregiver Jean Hammond for her loving care of our mother.
