Margaret Brown Pridmore, 92, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
The funeral service will be at 2PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Hickory Grove, SC with Reverend Ed Reynolds and Reverend Tom Sherer officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will celebrate her life and receive friends after the funeral service at Mount Vernon UMC Fellowship Building.
Born in Hickory Grove, Margaret was the daughter of the late Grover Watson Brown, Sr. and Ola Kirkpatrick Brown. Her second mother was the late Mattie S. Brown. She volunteered at Jefferson Elementary School for over 20 years and was very active in her church, Mount Vernon UMC, where she served as a Lay Leader, a Sunday School teacher, and a choir member. Margaret was also very active and dedicated to the American Red Cross.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Ellen Green (Kenny) of Rock Hill, three grandchildren, Will Green (Sara) of Irmo, SC, Rob Green (Jennifer) of York, SC, John Green, brother, Joe K. Brown of Georgia, and six great grandchildren, Elly, Lauren, Evan, Olivia, Michael, and Thomas.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John Felix Pridmore, sons, Robert Michael Pridmore, John Felix Pridmore, Jr., and brothers, Robert C. Brown and Grover W. Brown, Jr.
