Mrs. Margaret Everhart Gregory, 96, of York, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Bratton Funeral Home in York with Rev. Tony Caruso officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 – 5 PM at Bratton Funeral Home.
Margaret was a daughter of the late Claude Carroll Everhart and Elizabeth Marie Wolfe Everhart, and was the widow of William Henderson Gregory. She was retired from the Super 10 and TG&Y in York, was a member of the Eastern Star, and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Kensington, GA.
She is survived by her daughter Melinda Souther of York, sister, Beverly Ann Spahr of Franklin, IN, grandchildren, Jennifer Stanley, Kenneth Woodworth, Mariechen McGruder, Alex Woodworth, and Kari Osborne, great grandchild Emma Stanley, great great grandchild Andrea Rawson, and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by son William L. Gregory and daughter Mary Jo McCubbins.
