YORK - Margaret Love Carpenter, 93, of York passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Brookdale Place of Ebenezer in Rock Hill, SC.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Allen and Rev. Eddie Usher officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 10-11 AM at the church.
Born in Kings Creek, SC, Margaret was the daughter of the late Robert Love and Pearl Love and the widow of Nevin P. Carpenter. She was a member of Kings Mountain Chapel UMC.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Carpenter Short, sons, Michael Carpenter (Diane Neil Carpenter), Robert Carpenter, sisters, Elizabeth Redmond, Sarah Purser, brother, Olin Love, grandchildren, Courtney Short, Matthew Carpenter, Olivia Carpenter Mitchell her husband J.D. and great grandchild, Raylan Mitchell.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Nevin P. Carpenter and daughter, Sheila Carpenter.
