Margaret Carpenter YORK Margaret Burns Carpenter, 80, of 51 6th Street, died Thursday, January 05, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. The funeral will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 8, 2011 at York Church of God. Rev. Jason Garner, Rev. Dennis Ayers and Rev. Lee Ayers will be officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Margaret was a daughter of the late Henry and Blanche Montgomery Ramsey. She was the widow of W. D. Burns and Henry Carpenter. She was a member of York Church of God and was retired from Cannon Mills. She worked in the cafeteria at Cotton Belt Elementary School and for Mona and Moms Cleaning Service. She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Belcher (Lynn), Jennifer Ayers (Dennis), and Denise Burns, all of York, SC, a son, Dexter Burns (Lynn) of York, SC, two brothers, Frank Ramsey and Carl Ramsey, both of York, SC, sister Thelma R. Sipe of York, SC, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three dogs, Maggie, Misty and Oscar. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses at Piedmont Medical Center and the nurses in the PCU Unit. Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 4-6PM. Memorials may be made to York Church of God, P.O. Box 667, York, SC 29745.
