YORK -- Luther Donald Lathan, 91, of 1195 HWY. 97 died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union, SC.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday May 25, 2013 at Armenia United Methodist Church in Chester, SC with, Rev. Larry Parson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Bratton Funeral Home Friday May 24, 2013 from 6-8 P.M.
Don was a son of the late James Clarence and Nannie Brakefield Lathan. Don was the widower of Louise Porter Lathan, he was a member of Armenia United Methodist Church, retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing, Don served in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by daughter, Dorothy Sutton of Sharon, son, Ronnie Lathan of Smyrna, 2 brothers, Cecil Lathan of Rock Hill and Charles Lathan of Chester and 2 sisters Margaret Phillips and Sarah Hargett both of Chester, three grandchildren Luther Sutton, Will Sutton , and Wendy Catledge and one great grandson Garrett Catledge. He was preceded in death by a brother Henry Lathan and a sister Dorothy Ann Lathan.
