Lois Norris

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Lois Norris will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2:00 P. M. in the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road, East Dublin, Georgia. The Rev. David G. Flowers will officiate and interment will be in the family plot at the church cemetery. Ms. Norris was born March 9, 1930 to the union of the late Ver Norris and Dessie Norris in Wrightsville, Johnson County Ga. She departed this life on Monday December 9, 2019 at her residence. Ms. Norris was a member of the Buckeye Missionary Baptist Church where she was named “ Mother of the Church” She was preceded in death by her three children, Leon Josey, Edward Josey and Catherine Josey all of Wrightsville, Ga. Ms. Norris leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, eight children, Betty Swint, Mary Josey, Allen Josey, Larry Josey, Lorenzo (Emily) Josey, Yvonne (Benjamin) Murry, all of Wrightsville, Ga., Mary Alice Samuels, Ken Josey of Milledgeville, Ga., one brother, L. W. Norris, Wrightsville, Ga., one step-daughter, Gwinivera Horne, Dublin, Ga., one God-child, Zakius Battle of Dublin, Ga, a devoted niece, Martha Brown, Wrightsville, Ga., thirty-three grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ms. Norris will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services for viewing. Friends are being received at the family residence 264 Crawford Road, Wrightsville, Ga.
