Linda Starr
Linda Ann Starr was born on June 1, 1949 in Clover, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Howard Lynn and Rosie Starr. On May 28, 2019, the heavenly angels came down and guided her to glory.
Linda attended school in Gastonia, NC and moved to Alexandria, Virginia in the early 1970’s where she resided and worked at Sunrise Living Assistance as a Nursing Companion until retirement.
Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior into her life at an early age with the guidance of her beloved mother Rosie Starr. In the early 90’s, Linda joined Saint Paul’s Christian Center, under the pastorate of Apostle Robert Callaham Sr., and served in the Choir and the Usher Board. Linda was a faithful member of Saint Paul Christian Center and a true servant of Christ.
Linda loved life and family gatherings as she was the Diva of Dress, she loved to shop, which her daughter Tiffany followed the trend. As Linda was surely feisty ; she was loving, giving, and alwasys willing to offer a helping hand. She “Loved” her children and grandchildren “Dearly”. Linda always prayed and wished nothing but the best for them. She will truly be missed. She “Loved” her church and each member at St. Paul’s. Always excited to attend the afternoon singing events with Brenda Starr and Mother Marie White, so full of life and laughter. She truly loved her family and each person held a special place in her heart.
On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, Linda was called to her glory from her home in Alexandria, VA. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Stephen (Casey) Starr, Prentiss Starr, Tiffany Starr (Companion: Gary Dickerson), and DeAndre Starr (Fiancé Najar Washington) of Alexandria, VA. Grandchildren: De’Angela (Toot) Starr, De’Onte (Toy) Starr, Candace Starr, Carlos Hunter, Skylar and Devin Johnson-Starr of Alexandria, VA. Sister: Cora Frye (Husband Deacon Daniel Frye), Brothers: Frank Starr, Carl Starr, Jimmy Starr and Pastor Willie Starr (Wife Pastor Shirley Starr), Larry Starr (Wife Pastor Patricia Starr).
Predeceased Siblings: Sisters: Louise Kayne, Mary Wesley, Minnie Oliver, and Ida Baker; Brothers: Sherman Starr, Donald Starr, Joe Starr, and Grady Easter.
Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends, Apostle Robert Callaham Sr. (Lady Sarah Callaham) and the Saint Paul’s Christ Center Church Family.
The funeral service will be held at 3PM on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Mount Carmel Holiness Church of God with the Rev. Jeffrey Littlejohn officiating. Burial will follow at the Clover Community Cemetery.
Quiet time is set for 2:30 at the church.
