Linda Hunter Scism, 76, of York, SC passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Reverend Brad Vassey officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church. A graveside service will be private.
Linda was born on January 2, 1945 in Rock Hill, SC. She was the daughter of the late Roy Franklin Hunter, Sr. and Jeanette Howell Hunter. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Linda is survived by her children: Lisa Scism, Dana Allen (Richard), Steven Scism (Kimberly), Kristi Byers (Daniel), and Kary Ison (Jason), her siblings: Terri Blackwood, Connie Sands, and Tony Chiapetta, and her grandchildren: Heather, Sara, and Jacob Allen, Darien (Andrea), Bailey, and Luke Scism, Kaitlyn Byers, and Gavin Ison.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Roy F. Hunter, Jr. and sister, Betty Wells.
