Lester Kimble
YORK -- Lester Woodrow Kimble, 79, of 218 Charlotte St. went to be with the Lord at his home on Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 11, 2014 at First Wesleyan Church of York, with Pastor Todd Reynolds and Pastor Don Avore officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of York, Lester was a son of the late Floyd and Julia Blanton Kimble. He was a member of First Weslyan Church, York, SC. He retired from Sullivan Carson after 48 years. He also retired from Walmart after 15 years. He served in the SC National Guard. .
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years Jean Ann Harper Kimble, and his sons Lester Wayne Kimble (Carol), Donnie Eugene Kimble (Melissa), and Tommy Brian Kimble all of York, SC. Daughters Libby Kimble Parnell (Garry), Connie Kimble Jackson, Kathy Elaine Kimble, all of York, SC, and Melinda Kimble Parrish (Ray) of Clover, SC, Grandchildren Adina Sanders Goforth (Roger) of Kannapolis, NC, Ronald Martin Sanders, Jr. (Starr) of York, Kristin Sanders Byers (Will) of Melbourne, Fl., Lori Kimble of Fort Mill, Rachel Kimble Mode (Jacob) of York, Shannon Kimble Brown (Jerrmont) of Sharon, Nikki Kimble Drennen (Blaine) of York, Caycee Jackson of York, Marie Kimble of York, Dalton Parrish of Clover, Savannah Kimble of York and Triston Cruse of York. He also had 17 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Lester was precded in death by his 2 brothers, 3 sisters and his grandson DJ Kimble.

Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Monday November 10, 2014 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
