Lena Joyce Montgomery White, 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Springhill Hospital in Mobile, Alabama.
The funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Bratton Funeral Home in York, SC with Reverend Matt Burrell officiating. Burial will be at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Filbert. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Bratton Funeral Hoyme from 6-8 PM.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, a loving wife and mother. She loved to laugh, travel and was an avid sports fan.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eber White, daughters, Angela White, Sharon Davis (Woody), Evelyn Kirk (Jay), Deena Roberson (William), sons, Rocky White (Donna), Eber White II, sisters, Carolyn Dover (Robert), Glenda Reardon (Jay), brother, Vernon Montgomery (Susan), sister-in-law, Laura Estelle Crow, 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John Raymond Montgomery Sr. and Martha Lena Louise White Montgomery, two siblings, John Raymond Montgomery Jr., Barbara Faye Montgomery Trull, one daughter, Janet Addair White and three grandchildren: Jonathon White, Ryanna White; and Andrew Martin.
