Kenneth G. Smith CLOVER -- Kenneth G. Smith, 73, of 921 Beamguard Road died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at his home in Clover. The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Totherow officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church in Clover from 1 - 2 PM. Burial will be at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery in Chilhowie, VA at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Kenneth was raised by his grandparents, Dale and Wiley Kirk of Smyth Co., VA. He was a carpenter and millwright; he also did rodeo work and worked with horses for many years, and was a truck driver. Kenneth was a veteran of the US Army during peacetime serving in Border Patrol between East and West Germany. . He is survived by wife Margaret Osborne Smith of Clover, SC; son Tim Smith and wife Josephine of Smyrna, SC; 2 daughters; Connie Little and husband Earl of North Tazewell, VA; Linda Rosenbaum and Alfred of Wytheville, VA; brother in law Jim Osborne of Clover, SC; two special grandsons, Bradley Ross of Wytheville, VA; Chris Ross of Clover, SC; and many friends.
