Kenneth "Ken" Jimison

Kenneth “Ken” Eugene Jimison, 78, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House.
Visitation will be held at Pisgah A.R.P. Church, Gastonia, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:15 AM. A celebration of Ken’s life will follow at 11:30 AM with Rev. Richard Lewis officiating.
Born in Gastonia on October 12, 1939, Ken was a son of the late Carroll and Ivey Messer Jimison. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served on the USS Cony. Ken was a member of Pisgah ARP Church where he served as an elder and Sunday School teacher. He managed the Riverview Inn for more than 50 years.
Ken is survived by his wife, Louise, of 54 years and daughters, Julie Helton and husband Patrick, Amanda Rubenstein and husband Barry, grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel Rubenstein, granddaughter Madeline Helton, brother Michael Jimison and wife Sharon, sister Patsy Mayhew and husband Fred Jr., and many special family members and friends, including his Riverview family. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Glen Jimison, and sister Brenda Hatcher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.
