Kathryne B. Ledford FILBERT At her home surrounded by her family, Mrs. Kaythryne Bryant Ledford, 94, went home to be with her Lord on September 11, 2012. Kathryne was a life long member of Union Baptist Church in York where she taught Sunday School and lead the Girl’s Auxiliary. In 1973, Kathryne was able to fulfill her life long dream of owning her own florist (Filbert Florist) where she shared her love of flowers with both her community and her church until she retired in 1987. Kathryne was the daughter of the late Lossie Neelands Bryant and James Randolph Bryant of Filbert. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Ledford, her infant daughter Susan Joan Ledford, and her brothers Lewis, Robert, Woodrow, Meek, Friedheim, and twins Ray and Roy. She is survived by her one and only sister Marjorie B. Philbeck and brother Larry Bryant. Kathryne is also survived by children Shirley L. Moore, (husband Dr. Robert J. Sharbough), Norman Ledford, Jr, (wife Willie), Dorothy L. Roberts, her grandchildren Leta R. Outlaw, Eddie Roberts, Jr. (wife Mary), Ron Ledford, Rhett Moore (wife Yuki Ye), her great grandchildren, Loren Bivens, Teryn B. Odom (husband Lee), Bethany Ledford, Aaron Ledford, Paige Roberts, Drayton Moore, Teagyn Moore, and one great great grandson Landon Odom. Kathryne’s funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday September 15, 2012, at Union Baptist Church in York, SC with Revs Ray Long and Paul Willey officiating. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Union Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Friday September 14, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
