York -- John Ralph Hoke, Jr., 92, of York, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Bratton Funeral Home with Rev. John Muse officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Bratton Funeral Home from 1-2 PM.
Ralph was a son of the late John Ralph Hoke, Sr., and Ellen Swicegood Hoke. Ralph was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in York where he served as an elder. Ralph retired as plant manager for Cannon Mills, plants 3 and 19 in York. He served in the United States Eighth Army Air Force during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Grey "Bobbie" Hoke of Rock Hill, SC, two sons, John Ralph Hoke, III (Lynn) of Rock Hill and Thomas Norton Hoke (Barbara Rhea) of Lugoff, SC, his daughter, Betty Jo Hoke Browder, two grandsons, Thomas Grey Hoke and Jacob Alexander Hoke. Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Hoke.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in York at 10 W. Liberty St. York, SC 29745.
