Joanne Jackson

Joanne Cameron Jackson passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Westminster Health Care in Rock Hill. She was the daughter of the late Charles Vincent Cameron and Lottie B. Cameron. She graduated from York High School and Winthrop College with a degree in Elementary Education and taught in North Carolina and South Carolina school systems. She was a member of Allison Creek Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas, and her three children, Donna Turner (Rick), Vince Jackson (Leah) and Mark Jackson. Her grandchildren are Wes Jackson, Will Turner (Elizabeth), Hannah Turner, and Stephen Jackson. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter Riley Jackson.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Allison Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Sam McGregor, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall following the graveside service.
