Jimmie Wade Pridmore, 91, of York, SC passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC with the Reverend Nellie Cloninger officiating.
Jimmie was born on September 10, 1929 in Cherokee County, SC. He was the son of the late Davis Bailey Pridmore and Ethel Hughes Pridmore. Jimmie was a graduate of Clemson University and was a veteran of the US ARMY. He enjoyed traveling York County in his role as Clemson Extension agent and supporting agriculture in the area. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and served the church in a variety of ways for many years. He also served his community as a Boy Scout and 4-H leader, little league baseball coach, and as a member of the Rotary and Lions Clubs.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Helen Hinkle Pridmore, son, Ken Pridmore (Debbie), daughters, Cindy Spillers (David), Ann Carol Love (Dan), Angela Moss (Dan), sisters, Kathleen Fletcher and Doris Jarrett, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Dorothy Hammett Pridmore, his brother, Roy Pridmore and sister, Margaret Hood.
