YORK -- James Edward "Eddie" Smith, 57, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at his home in York.
A memorial service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Bratton Funeral Home, with Rev. Josh Blackwelder officiating.
Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 6-7 PM.
A native of York, Eddie was a son of the late Jerry Smith and Ann Killian Smith. Eddie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in York; he worked at Curtis Wright in Gastonia, NC as a mechanic. Eddie served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate aboard the USS Kitty Hawk CV 63, V-2 Division Catapult 3. .
Eddie is survived by his wife, Terri Vadala Smith of York, SC. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his sister, Tracy Louise Smith.
