YORK- James Rodney Propst, 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 peacefully at home and surrounded by his family.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11am at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York. The family will receive friends at Bratton Funeral Home on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10-11am.
Born in York, James was the son of the late Henry Blease Propst and Annie Mae McSwain Propst. He worked in the Cannon Mills for 38 years.
James is survived by his wife, Barbara Turner Propst, daughters, Rhonda Propst Crump (Steve), Paulette Propst Carter (Calvin), Amanda Propst Nivens (Robby), Dawn Propst, grandchildren, Stacy Propst Gunter, Wendy Huffstetler, Anthony Rayfield, Melanie Nivens, and seven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Philanthropic Lodge #32 at 91 Stoneybrook Drive York, SC 29745.
