CLOVER – James Luther McDaniel, 78, of Clover, SC passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 5. 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC with Pastor Matt Burrell officiating.
James was born on May 2, 1942 in Lake City, SC. He was the son of the late Cora Puckett McDaniel and Carl McDaniel. After a lifelong career that enabled him to travel to many wonderful places and visit other countries, he retired just a few years ago. James was still very active daily working around the house, visiting family in and out of town, taking daily walks with and spoiling his beloved fur baby and companion, Doxie, who already misses her daddy. Doxie brought much love and joy into their daily routines.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Amanda McDaniel and daughter, Laneave McDaniel.
James is survived by his children: Joychell McDaniel (Paul) of Florence, SC, Greg McDaniel (Janet) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Ronnie Aiken of Gastonia, NC, Jamey Jones (Dana) of Gastonia, NC, Sissy Norman (David) of York, SC, Teresa Rusher (Andrew) of Bessemer City, NC, Cindy Harris (Robert) of Ranlo, NC, Michelle Davis (Davy) of Gastonia, NC, and Patricia Miller (Tony) of Gastonia, NC, brother, Steven McDaniel (Wayne) of Columbia, SC, and sister, Brenda Brunson of Florence, SC, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a good friend, Hazel Driggers.
