SHARON – James Albert Maloney, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
The funeral will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Sharon A.R.P. Church with Rev. Gil Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 6 – 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Born September 17, 1944, Albert was a son of the late Charles C. Maloney and Nellie White Maloney. He was a man of many talents. His pride was his home building and woodwork. He was happiest when working with his hands. Albert was a giving person and anyone that knew him could trust and depend on him. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his daughter Nicole M. Russ, grandchildren, Caspian, Raven, and Freya, Nicole’s mother, Claudette, and sisters, Nell Bradley, Patty Johnson, Janet Spencer, Libby Merrill, and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his brother and three sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sharon A.R.P. Church Memorial Fund, 3915 York St., Sharon, SC 29742.
