Jacquelynn Wallace
Obituary Notice
Smyrna-Jackie Whisenant Wallace passed away on Saturday April 3, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Monday April 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC with Rev. Donald Love officiating.
Jackie was born on June 26th, 1946, to Jack and Ethel Whisenant of Clover, SC. She was the second oldest child, with one older sister and two younger brothers. She married Richard Wallace of Smyrna SC, and had one child, Tony R. Wallace. She was an active member of the New Zion Methodist Church, where she played the piano, and led the choir for quite some time. Jackie worked with her family business, Wallace Lumber Company for many years before going to work at Clover School District as a librarian assistant, at Griggs Road Elementary School. She was a woman who never met a stranger and would go out of her way to help anyone she could. Everyone who knew Jackie, loved her. She had a kind heart, and a loving spirit that most people wanted to gravitate towards. Jackie had a love for life, and a positive attitude towards everything. Her sense of humor was remarkable, as she always had a way to make you smile and laugh.
She leaves behind a large family that will never be able to fill the void that is in their hearts. The family that she leaves behind includes her son Tony R. Wallace, daughter in law Tracy Wallace, and her only grandchild, Morgan Wallace, all of Smyrna, SC. She is also survived by her sister Brenda Glenn, and Brother in law Tom Ed Glenn, along with her brother Michael Whisenant, sister in law Joy Whisenant, brother Daryl Whisenent, sister in law Tammy Whisenant and her uncle Dick Whisenant. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Jackie was a wonderful wife, mom, sister, grandma, aunt and mother in law. The way she loved and cared for others will never be forgotten, but instead we will try to incorporate that love and care into our own lives, and become a little more like Jackie. Words cannot describe how much we love her and we always will. We will miss her dearly, but we know that she is rejoicing in Heaven with her late husband, Richard Wallace.
Memorials should be made to New Zion Methodist Church.
