Mrs. Irene Estelle Moss Rose, widow of William Howard Rose, of 1840 Tom Joye Road, Clover, SC went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
Irene was born at home in York County to Otis and Mattie Sisk Moss on January 31, 1933. She retired from Cannon Mill in York, and was a servant and member of Clover Wesleyan Church, where she faithfully taught the Youth Sunday School Class.
She is survived by four children, William Howard Rose, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Clover, SC, Debra Rose Parham and her husband James of Concord, NC, Cathy Rose Parks and her husband Dan of Pelzer, SC, and Steven Russell Rose and his wife Shelly of Gastonia, NC, and four siblings, Thelma Whitman, Elijah Moss, Martha Burton, and Virginia Donaldson. Irene is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Irene was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Scott Rose, grandson, Dylan Scott Rose, and her sisters, Rebecca Weaver and Ann Rogers.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Clover Wesleyan Church with Rev. Adrian Ballard officiating. The burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2016, from 6 -8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
