McConnell, SC- Ina Elizabeth Lever Frame, 91, of Davis Lever Street, departed her ancestral home for her heavenly home on March 11th. She was born on June 1, 1926 to Ruth Ashe Lever and Marion Davis Lever. She was a graduate of York High School and Winthrop College. Her entire vocation was spent as a teacher with York District 1 Public Schools. She was a member of the Gamma Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma; the Business and Professional Women’s’ Club, and in 1978 received the State Career Woman of the year; and many other civic organizations. She was a dedicated member of Olivet Presbyterian Church, serving in many capacities: Women In the Church, ladies’ circle, youth leader, Sunday School teacher, and writing Christmas pageants. Her special gifts and passion were flower arranging and poetry writing. She was also dedicated to the York 1 Release Time Bible Education.
She is survived by four daughters and their husbands: Ina Ruth and Don Johnson, McConnells; Martha and Wayne Dial, Smyrna; Liz and Charlie Christenberry, McConnells; and Eugenia and John Matthews, Chapin, S.C. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include: Beth and Will Greene, Rylee and Eli: Kristi and David Sturgis, Kaitlyn and Lane.; Brent and Jill Christenberry; Stephen McDaniel; Heather Johnson; Amanda and Joe Lenker, Phillip; Richard and Allyson Dial, John, Connor and Morrigan; Andrew Dial; Ralph and Sara Matthews, Helen; and David Matthews. She is survived by one sister and her husband, Ruth and Jim Sample, Charlotte, NC, and a sister-in-law, Sally Lever, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Ralph Frame, her parents Ruth and Davis Lever, Sr; her two brothers Davis, Jr. and Jim Lever; her grandson, Bryan Johnson, and her sister-in-law, Pauline Lever.
A celebration of life will be held at Olivet PCA, McConnells, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Chip McArthur officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 13, at Olivet PCA, McConnells from 5:00 – 7:30 and at other times at her home.
