Ila Kay Gibson Bumgarner, 97, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Lake Wylie Assisted Living.
The funeral service will be at 3PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Bratton Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas B. McPhail officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens following the service.
Ila was a daughter of the late Carl Gibson and Dora Ware Gibson. She was the widow of William Bowman Bumgarner, Jr.
Ila is survived by her son, Marty Bumgarner, daughter, Mary Ellen Connolly, brother, Charles Gibson, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ila was preceded in death by her daughter, Zona Ann Dover, brothers, Bob Gibson, Jack Gibson, Tom Gibson, Melvin Gibson, Boyce Gibson, Earl Gibson (Bud), sisters, Evelyn Hall, Nell Donaldson, Betty Greene and a sister that died as an infant.
