Homer Bennefield

YORK -- Homer C. Bennefield, Sr., 93, of 214 Springdale Dr passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. James Gable officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery, and other times at the home.
Homer was a son of the late William James Bennefield and Clara Cauthen Bennefield. He was a member of First Baptist Church, was a Shriner, was a veteran of the US Army serving as a paratrooper during WWII, and was retired with over 50 years at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing.
He is survived by wife Janet Norman Bennefield of York, SC, daughters, Nancy Ligon and husband Jeff of York, SC, and Lisa Shillinglaw and husband Jimmy of Sharon, SC, 4 grandchildren, Hunter and Matt Ligon, and Aaron and Jason Bennefield and 2 great grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Bennefield. Homer was preceded in death by his son, Homer C. Bennefield, Jr.
