SMYRNA – Hershell Gaines, 86, of Smyrna, SC passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018.
Born in Arley, Alabama, Hershell was the son of the late Louie Gaines and Bertie Darnell Gaines.
Hershell is survived by his wife, Beatrice Thomas Farmer Gaines, sisters, Olene and Inez, and step-children, Sheri Lynn Bailey, Jackie Farmer Hogan, and Keith Farmer.
In addition to his parents, Hershell was preceded in death by his sister, Ilene Howell, brothers, James LB Gains, Harold Wayne Gaines, and step-children, Hewy Farmer and Barry Farmer.
The family will receive friends at the home of Hershell and Beatrice Gaines; other services will be private.
