SHARON -- Henry James "Jim" Barnette, 73, of 3611 Barnette Road passed away March 27 , 2014, at his home in Sharon.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Barry Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
A native of Sharon, Jim was a son of the late Henry Clay Barnette and Rusha Hines Barnette. He was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy. .
He is survived by his daughter Marilynn Walters of Boiling Springs, SC, brother CJ "Top" Barnette of York, SC, sisters, Myrtle Ann Jones of Rock Hill, SC, Margie Childers of York, SC, and granddaughter Ashli Brooke Walters of Oxford, MS. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie Barnette and Lance Corporal Roy Barnette, and sister Esther Byrum.
