SHARON -- Martha Helen Kennedy,105, formerly of Sharon, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Lexington Medical Center Extended Care in Lexington, SC.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Sharon A.R.P. Church with Rev. Gil Martin officiating. Burial will be at Sharon A.R.P. Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 1:30 - 2:00 PM at Sharon A.R.P. Church.
A native Sharon, Helen was a daughter of the late Porter Blair Kennedy and Bessie McGill Kennedy. She was a graduate of Winthrop College, and was a public school teacher in Ruby, SC, Sharon, SC, and York, SC. Helen was also a member of Sharon A.R.P. Church.
She is survived by brother-in-law Earl Sanford (Jo Ann), nieces, Margaret Ellen Kennedy, Earline Sanford Davis (Barry), and great nephews, Craig C. Davis and Alan S. Davis. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by sister Rachel Kennedy Sanford, brother James W. Kennedy, and sister-in-law Ellen Lowry Kennedy.
