YORK -- Harvey Hunter Heffner,Sr., 75, of 4 Oklahoma Street passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at Bratton Funeral Home with Pastor Don Avor and Pastor Ted Tinker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday April 22, 2014 at Bratton Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.
Hunter was the son of the late Henry Heffner and Kate Foster Heffner. He attended First Weslyn Church of York and Sanctuary Hills Church of God of Prophcey. He worked in maintenance at Divine Saviour Hospital and White Oak Manor Nursing Home in York, and served in the Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife Judy Brown Heffner of York, SC, sons Jimmy Heffner (Renee), Harvey Heffner (Brenda), stepson Fairris Lee James, Jr. and step daughter Rae Lene Hearn, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his former wife Dot Heffner.
