Grady Meek Nichols, 90, of York passed away on Thursday, May 03, 2018 at Carolina Gardens in York, SC.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 2PM with Reverend Donald Love officiating. Burial will be at New Zion UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM at New Zion UMC, Saturday, May 5, 2018.
Born in York, Grady was the son of the late Henry Nichols and Letha Biggers Nichols. Grady served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member at New Zion United Methodist Church. He retired from Duff Norton in Charlotte, NC. Grady loved to garden and loved to watch the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Braves.
Grady is survived by his wife, Alice McClure Nichols, sons, Jody Nichols (Alysia), Tracy Nichols, grandchildren, Hunter, Kelsey, Brantley, Grayson, Tasha, Timmy, and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Grady was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Carroll and brother, James Henry Nichols.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Zion United Methodist Church at 4050 Black Hwy Smyrna, SC 29743.
