Rock Hill – Gladys Bradley Nichols, 81, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 peacefully at her home.
The funeral service will be at New Kirk Baptist Church on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm, with Reverend Sam Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends at Bratton Funeral Home on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6-8 PM.
A native of Rock Hill, SC, Gladys was the daughter of the late Samuel Bradley and Ada Inez Funderburk Bradley. She worked in textiles at Celanese for 16 years and at the US Postal Service for 13 years.
Gladys is survived by son, Tommy Bradley Nichols (Renee Norman), daughters, Ashley Jean Nichols, Donna Sims, five grandchildren, Taylor Williams, Bradley Nichols, Robbie McCarter, Michelle McCarter, Andy Sims, and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Nichols, infant son, Tommy Scott Nichols, seven brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care at 2275 India Hook Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732 or to New Kirk Baptist Church at 175 Museum Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
