George Thomas

CLOVER – George Grey Thomas, 69, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 surrounded by his family.
A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Woodside Cemetery in Clover with Rev. Mike Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at First Baptist Church C.O.A.C. Building from 4 – 6 PM, and other times at the home of son Jonathan Thomas, 331 Thomas Road, Clover.
Born August 20, 1947, George was a son of the late T.M. Thomas and Elizabeth Fewell Thomas. He was a former farmer, raising Bob White Quail for hunting preserves, and later retired from Clover Tool and Grinding after many years. George was an avid carpenter in his spare time, was a member of the S.C. National Guard, and was a Mason.
He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas and husband Lee (Zach and Ella Grey), and Jonathan Thomas and wife Kathy, sister Betsy Johnson, and brothers, Steve Thomas and Joe Thomas. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother T.M. Thomas, Jr.
