George Flora CLOVER George Prescott Flora, 80, of 308 Knox Street died Saturday, December 10, 2011, at his home in Clover. A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. George was a son of the late Isaac Henry and Blanche Cooper Flora, and was the widower of JoAnn Wray Flora. He was retired from the US Air Force after 23 years. While in service Mr. Flora was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. . He is survived by two sons, Steve Flora and wife Brenda of Madison, AL, Randy Flora and wife Tina of Clover, SC, three daughters, Donna Whitley and husband Roger of Shelby, NC, Karryn Franz and husband Ricky of Mt. Holly, NC, Jayne Flora of Mt Holly, NC, brother Isaac Flora of Mt. Olive, NC, grandchildren, Angie, Leigh, John, Caroline, Kathryn, Shelby, Jennifer, Ashley, and great grandchildren, Tyler, Payton, Steven, Kayla, Peyton, Christian, Madisyn, Emma, Abby, Jonathan, and Connor. Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
