Bolton Funeral Home was established in 1950 when Robert N. Bolton, Sr. converted the Lightcap House, a former dentist office, into the first freestanding funeral home facility in Columbiana. The Bolton family's deep community roots include the founder serving as Mayor and County Coroner, and donating land for Bolton Field, a baseball facility still actively used by the local girls' softball league.

Richard Nelson founded the funeral home in 1993 and continues to serve as owner, funeral director, and embalmer at the facility that moved to its current 11,000 square foot location in 2003.

Bell Funeral Home is owned and operated by Luther Watts, who serves families across Walker County and surrounding areas including Adamsville, Warrior, and the greater Birmingham region.
