About Wilkerson Funeral Home Inc
Wilkerson Funeral Home has been operated by the Wilkerson family across four generations. Fred Wilkerson Jr., known as B. Bud, graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1947 after serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II and earned an Arkansas Funeral Director of the Year award during his career. His son Trey, a third-generation funeral director, graduated from the same institution in 1975 and retired in 2018 but remains active in the business.
Sarah Wilkerson Casteel, the fourth generation to become a licensed funeral director, now owns and operates the funeral home with her husband Doug. Sarah is a Certified Pre-Planning Consultant and member of the De Queen Rotary Club. The funeral home maintains locations in both De Queen and Dierks in Howard County.
